Meet the Artist
|
Thank you for visiting my website. If you are here to discover who I am, here is my story.
Since I showed interest in art, my father, a renowned educationist and President of REC, Warangal University, India, admitted me in a fine arts course. I earned a Diploma in Arts and then joined in Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. Since then, I have been painting.
I am fascinated with faces and colors, and my search led me to the fine art of portraiture. The great masterpieces of some of the well known great masters Bouguereau, Rembrandt, Raphael, and Michelangelo demonstrate my conviction that one of artist's greatest challenges and achievements is to evoke a sense of individual spirit and beauty. I find my own fulfillment in capturing the essential qualities of an individual I portray. I thoroughly enjoy portraits and also still life and figure painting.
Life brought me to US and I began the study of portraiture with an internationally recognized artist San Do for porcelain, Marvin Mattelson for oils and Margaret Dyer for pastels.
My paintings have been well received by renowned clients nationally and internationally. My works are valued for beauty, sensitivity and for unusual ability to capture likeness. I strive to create a compelling portrait and an exquisite work of art that my clients will cherish forever. I am also a Certified Teacher and a Certified Artist for International Porcelain Artists and Teachers Association.
My credits include Silver and Bronze Awards for my porcelain paintings at International Porcelain Artists and Teachers, Inc. Eastern Convention, at Indianapolis, IN, in 2005, and Merit Award at 5th Annual Juried Art Show from Auburn Arts Association, Auburn, AL, in 2003. Also, the response for my solo show at Sylacauga, AL, was astonishing. Some of my works are on display as permanent collection in Sylacauga Gallery, in Universities, and private collections internationally all around the world.

Just a few Comments from my clients
The work of a true master!
Today I was able to see the finished product "bride" for the first time. It left me speechless. I can not imagine the degree of skill needed to accomplish such fine work. The lace in the wedding dress looks like the viewer could feel the threads. The tones in the face and hair are perfect. And the eyes -- I could fall right into them.
This is by far going to be the best gift I have ever given my wife. I may be a little prejudice but I believe "bride" is the best piece on you site.
Thank you again for all your work. The way you used several photographs to formulate the pose is impressive to say the least.
I can never thank you enough,
Bill Hughes
Frank and I appreciate all of the talent, time, and attention to detail that you invested in his portrait. You are a wonderful artist and do a fantastic job on your own but still request input from a client when you are working on something special for them. You make sure that the work is exactly what was expected. I can't imagine a more talented or concerned artist from whom you could commission a portrait. The portrait will be appreciated throughout our lives and passed on to future generations. Thank you for being a wonderful person to work with as well as for sharing your talent with us.
Carolyn
They are breathtaking!
The portrait of Michelle Westmoreland is so lovely, just as she is. You have brought a delightful gift to those who know Tom and Michelle by sharing this portrait on your site.

Usha, I LOVE them!
I am a friend of Michelle Westmoreland. You have captured her in such a beautiful, flattering, sweet way. Somehow you have perfectly portrayed her inner beauty. I have browsed your other work. You are amazing!

You paintings are exquisite, Usha.
You caught Michelle's essential beauty -- looking through the love in Tom's eyes!

Very beautiful
I don't have a computer at home so I needed to wait until I came back to work today to write you. Again, this is the most beautiful painting and Michelle and I are so proud to have it. I catch her often looking at it. I know she is very happy with it. I told her it is the second most dear and important gift I have given her, second only to her engagement ring. The colors in the portrait are so lovely, but most of all, you capture her dear and kind spirit - something I feel is deep in her heart. I know we will cherish it forever. You were also very kind to get it done in time for me to give it as her Christmas present.
Again, many many thanks for doing it, for the rush job, but mostly for capturing her soul on canvas.
Tom

I Cried when I saw Woman in her Imagination. I am still crying as I write you this E mail. Thank you so much for taking the time to document the beauty of the woman spirit. You will never know what that means to me personally at this time in my life............ and the paintings on your sight evoked a lot a beautiful emotions I have been unable to allow myself to feel. Your uncanny knowledge pulled so much out of me the minute I looked at your stuff. I would like to talk with you more on your works - actually they are masterpieces!
All the best,
& thank you so much for allowing yourself to document images with your truest, and beautiful nature.
